Planning application is validated, 8 weeks to decision

We’ve just got notice from the DMBC planning dept that our application has been validated. This just means that they consider our application to be complete, and they now have 8 weeks from today to give us their decision.

In these 8 weeks, they will consult with the various departments in planning for any objections / points of concern / requests for more information, and we can respond to them. Also, letters will be sent out to the local residents to let them have their say.

But basically within 8 weeks, we’ll have their decision on whether we can build our house. That’s the 19th July in my calendar then. Just in time for the summer holiday. I wonder what I’ll be doing…?
