Progress report Feb 2013

Well, it may look like not much has been happening since before christmas, and we’ve certainly slowed down because of the weather, but we’re nearly weather tight now. In fact, we’re hoping to be fully tight in the next couple of weeks.

We’ve just not been able to get the render on the outside because of the weather. It has to be warm and dry, and since November, it’s been warm and wet, cold and dry and more often than not cold and wet. We just can’t risk the render being washed off or not going off, and this is stopping us finishing the whole of the outside of the building, and finally bringing down the scaffolding. We can’t put the cladding on until the render is done, we can’t put the cappings and balustrade on until we’ve got the cladding on… etc.. etc…

We can’t do any more to the inside until the house is secure and weather tight, so that’s it at the moment. Ho hum…
