The terraces and roof

So, we found these local lads at Universal Coatings who basically spray plastic all over everything, and the product is AMAZING…

They have two drums of chemicals, and they heat them up then spray them and when the two chemicals mix, it makes the toughest, flexible, waterproof plastic forming an airtight, waterproof seal.

So, we formed the roof and terraces out of timber, plywood and insulation, and sprayed them.

We chose a colour for the terraces, and they can make the finish slightly rough and bumpy to form the actual finished floor. We’re so chuffed with this…

Grand Designs are coming this Thursday to film them doing the rest of the roof terraces, and then we can celebrate our ‘topping out’!
